Censorship is pretty minor IIRC; the only thing that springs to mind is a slight upping of everyones' ages and removing the manwhore PC's g-string cupid outfit.
As for the content of the game itself, I enjoyed it but other things distracted me before I could finish it. I'm pretty ADHD when it comes to vidya, though, so that's not necessarily a mark against the game. My GF gave up on it after realizing she had been using terrible jobs/asterisks and had to grind up some totally unused asterisks from level one to... whatever she was at. She had gotten quite a few asterisks by that time, though, so I figure it was a decent way through the game. It was just too much grind for her so she quit.
If you don't mind a bit of grind, I guess it'd be fine. I liked that the game let you set the random encounter rate so you can just run through the field when you don't want to fight/are already overleveled or crank it up to 11 if you need to grind quickly.
Series is all shit, even this game was a bit shitty, but you cannot name a better Military Hype Song
All of the P2 songs also have remakes which are generally inferior - but I actually like the remade version of this song more since it has a more rock feel to it.
