They are in my opinion. Watched all of them and disliked some of them or at least found them boring (F91, AGE, Seed Destiny, Victory), but overall I enjoyed them. You don't need to watch the "more famous" ones like SEED, Gundam Wing and 00, you have less noticed ones that are kinda good actually. The 08th MS team is for example pretty interesting since they have mass produced shit and Stardust Memory rarely gets mentioned, even though it had some cool stuff. You have specials like MS Igloo, which are actually kinda cool since it's Zeon testing wunderwaffe.
Some may seem terrible at first, like the first Gundam, but I ended up enjoying it at the end. If you decide to skip it, here's at least a cool 30th anniversary vid https://youtu.be/_s39oTJqgkc

Armored Core 5 was a step in the right direction as far as their CGI was concerned.
They gameplay was steaming ass, they should've gone for a solid Chrome-Hounds strategic feel.

I give Gundam its due for being one of the first animes to steer away from super robots in favor of what is now the "Realistic" mecha anime genre, and I enjoyed stuff like G-Gundam and Wing, but there's definitely better out there.

because most uc gundam is nothing but one zeonwank production after another. feds, aside from anybody piloting a gundam, are always portrayed as being utterly incompetent.
I mean there must be two dozen GMs in that scene but they're all just floating there doing nothing, waiting for the dom to kill them effortlessly when the GM is literally a far better machine than the Dom when it comes to MS vs MS combat. Doms were good at taking down battleships and that was about it.

For a first time gunpla builder. You might wanna try doing the SD Grade of kits. They are perfect for beginners and some of them are pretty awesome, they are USUALLY dirt cheap. Also, if you have any modeling tools like from Warhammer 40K, those work with Gundam models.
