Honestly there's not that many great cartoons on the air right now. I'm sure I'll get fanboys replying to this saying otherwise but I don't think there's as much talent in mainstream animation as there used to be. Here's some cartoons off the top of my head:
Gravity Falls, which just ended, is cool if you like mysteries.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force is good if you like the weird stuff that Adult Swim does.
Superjail! is another Adult Swim show that's good. I'd only watch the first season though.
If you want something a little darker Moral Orel might be up your speed. The first season is a little iffy but you can appreciate the later seasons a lot more just because of the dramatic change in tone.
Over the Garden Wall is a good miniseries Carton Network did a while back. >>1107913

Invader Zim has some of the gadget-building Dexter's Lab had but is really dark for a kid's show. It's good if you like dark humor.
Drawn Together is good if you like raunchy humor. Has some of the best comedic timing in any show I've ever watched, but people put it off because on the surface it just looks like a show that's offensive for the sake of being offensive.
Batman: The Animated Series is a classic. Really all the Timm stuff is cool. Just look up Bruce Timm.
Samurai Jack is another masterpiece. Done by the guy that did Dexter's Lab.
If you're looking for weirder stuff there's two animated movies I like:
Fantastic Planet is great if you like surreal psychedelic stuff.
Yellow Submarine if you like that stuff but don't want to have nightmares.

Several episodes are completely skippable because they're literally just propaganda. The episode that comes to mind is the nuclear family episode. Hamfisted agenda pushing in a non-epsiode.
I notice the tumblr undertones like a random beach town having huge racial diversity and the fact that pretty much all the heros are female, but it doesn't bother me, and most people won't notice that. I just do because I'm online a lot. It's a tumbr dream and most of the time you'll notice but it won't bother you.
It also has some adult themes that I'm surpised didn't get it a higher rating but maybe I'm jaded. There was an episode that was strait up anime levels of gender bending. I liked it, actually. A lot. it was very well written and made you ask a lot of questions about the world. it was genuinly well done. but thinking about that on cartoon network is just.. weird.
The poor writing is just how the story meanders. I think this is more a kid's show problem than a liberal agenda pushing problem. Most episodes for most kids shows are fluff. There's a lot of episodes that start with a perceived slight and just go on and on for no real reason, and at the end everyone learns a lesson like "don't assume you know what the other person is thinking." or "don't be so jelous" or any other non-episode story these shows get. it's not bad... it's just not good. that's mainly a problem in the second season and it's why I stopped watching. Again, I feel like that's more just how these shows are written and has less to do with the writers, becase the trend is noticable in other shows.

I probably shouldn't even respond at all, but I just felt the urge to say that I got a really opposite vibe out of the "nuclear family episode." The episode's conflict is Connie worrying that her parents will forbid her from Steven because his family isn't "normal."
But what struck me is that Connie's parents don't accept Steven's "family" out of some directive that everyone should hold hands and sing kumbiyah and never judge each other, but rather they accept Steven's family despite being abnormal when they see them being willing to put in the work of actual parents and discipline their kid when they misbehave. I actually think that is a legit good message to put out.

They prioritized the harmonies over everything else. The translation is lazy so they had to distort some words making them sound retarded and as always with cartoons, they picked french voice actors with voices that are all more high pitched than the original English ones.

Latin American version is pretty good and the translation is pretty much there actually, haven't actually seen the show in spanish though.
I think all the romantic language are good imo, especially the Romanian one. the only one I don't like is the spain spanish one.

Gotta give them a chance, they're both completed works, they're both well written, funny, voice acting on point. These other shows you mentioned, they're still on going, they're a little too touchy feely and they have their exposure. Maybe I just "don't get it" but call me square.
The 2 shows I mentioned are easy to find, and you will end up marathon-ing them, I swear.
Just give them the benefit of the doubt, because both take a bit to get into the groove. Padding out the boundaries in characters, censorship etc. They're two different shows but both are rewarding.
