Man I really wanna get into elite dangerous but it feels like the kinda game that you can't play without a joystick

So much of this game is just finding that one trade route or that one combat zone where you can make a fortune. Then splurging on a Anaconda or Type 9 and cruising around the starting systems pulling fresh spawns outa warp.

Why would you be interdicting in a Type 9? Unless you found a way to make it a gun truck with a power generator and distributor to match the output of all those weapons, I can't see that being a worthwhile investment.

There is nothing to do in the game after about 10 hours. Killing NPCs gets grindy and there is no story. They expected players to provide the story, but it isn't a sandbox. You can't really effect any meaningful change and it's horribly grindy.
You can also pay for an expansion to drive cars on planets. I can't believe they had the balls to charge for it when their game is still in beta content/story wise.
