Maybe you are, maybe you're not reading enough into it. Colors convey certain emotions and feelings on a near universal scale. While maybe the companies didn't think about this when creating their logo, the feeling the color gives is in many ways what the company wants you to feel, or rather how that company makes you feel when you use their product or service.
