That, though, is the cultural/demographic definition.
The geographic one refers to the Scandinavian peninsula, therefor most often also encompassing Finland and the parts of Russia.

Where's this from? Stavanger?

Damn, I recognize this. It's from a tiny place called Sogndalstrand. It's the only "city" in Norway which has all it's buildings and surrounding area protected by law.

yes the cultural definition is Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
but neither Denmark, Finland and Russia is included in the Scandinavian Peninsula.
"The reason Denmark, Norway and Sweden are known a Scandinavian countries is the Scandinavian peninsula, not the other way around. Today only Norway and Sweden occupy this peninsula, but traditionally Denmark used to have lands in southern Sweden"
so if you look at it like that, the only countries who make Scandinavia is Norway and Sweden which you can clearly see by how far away Denmark is from Swe/Nor, also the climate and nature looks like it is from two different worlds, Sweden and Norway is the same land.

Not to clog this thread up with geographical opinions but the outline of the peninsula is of course subjective, though it would normally include parts of Finland and a tiny bit of north-westernmost Russia.
