I don't like to ask untill I'm stuck on something. I really think I tried my best, being the 1st linux rice. But it is very simple and maybe anons can feel I'm trolling or something.
I'm stuck on some minor shit, like color issues with i3 and terminal colors, like screenfetch or editing colors itself. I tried really hard but I'm too dense to understand.

Thank you. Unfortunately, the nekomenu isn't working when I change the menu.xml file. When I restart openbox, it doesn't display the menu as it should, like it's missing a lot of things that I see it's generated by the script.

the script is for Python 2, distros use 3 as the default now
open the script and at the top where it says /env/Python or whatever, change it to python2

Install Classic Shell and make the taskbar transparent then find a visualizer Rainmeter skin and you basically have their kind of customization, you should remove the folders and basic Rainmeter skins tho.

I do remember that problem, can't remember how to fix it unfortunately, you could always remove UltraUX and try using UxStyle.
Also, try backing up the default Aero themes to another folder, deleting them and then set a theme.

I have a problem, i would like some help fixing it.
upon running a .theme after following the correct procedures the screen flashes for an instant as if the theme had changed however there is no visible difference and my sdesktop still remains with the default theme.
a fellow earlier in the thread theorized that the problem may be with the initial patch. i have since tried 3 different variants and the problem still stays identical.
what i have tried:
deleting all other themes in the theme folder and attempting to run the selected .theme.
using multiple different patching methods prior to attempting to change the theme

Two questions, when you say in the theme folder you mean also in the other folder that isn't just custom themes right? The folder before the themes folder contains the basic themes anon told you to move.

i hadnt tried deleting the "ease of access themes" in resources but i have now and it still doesnt work.

The .theme goes in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes while the .msstyles stays inside the custom theme folder.

I've had it going since snow leopard came out.
recently installed lion
the install was done with myhack, and went without anything needed doing. post install I just had to install a couple of kext for the ethernet, sound and screen resolution.
