I really love black and white wallpapers, I will post a few that I made.

It is about opinion. You asked me if I agree. I don't. If someone enjoys scenery, it is not pretentious to put a landscape as a wallpaper. There is nothing wrong with putting what you enjoy on a personal desktop. If you read what I said again, I obviously did not say novels are childish.
