These two tear me apart
In my opinion this is one of the most atmospheric Dark Souls wallpaper.

To me DS2 was better than DS3 because it tried to be an other Dark Soul.
DS3 was just trying to be DS1 but wasn't and that's why it's not as good as the two others to me.

DS1 was just Demon's Souls 2. Dark Souls 3 was just Demon's Souls 3. Dark Souls 2 was nothing but a disappointment. At least it had the Fume Knight fight.

I think it was that feeling of exploration... In DS1 you were dropped in the middle of nowhere with no idea where to go or what to. In the latter two games they made it more linear and obvious as to where to go and what to do,

Although I how that is annoying, it was the point of the story. The souls of those we killed in the first game never "died" they were just recycled into new forms. It could just be from making an excuse to not come up with new ideas, but it never bothered me.

I haven't played DSI, my pc can't handle it. NG+ DSII right now.
From the videos I watched, it looks like DSI map design was much better, you could feel the world around you. DSII feels like disconnected levels from a video game. The individual levels of DSII look great, though, but there's very little connection. I don't know if the budget was cut, or they meant to do that in the first place. Maybe they were going for a grand journey across the land, but only the bastile had connections that made sense. One explanation could be that Drangleic is not completely corporeal and space is messed up the same way time is, but that is just lazy.
Can't compare the combat, since I haven't played DSI, but I am enjoying it in DSII. Ivory King's UGS is fun.

Felt DS2 was better. While the landscapes seem more disconnected, i thought it made my journey seem more grand since it felt it took place over the lands instead of just a kingdom. That and I thought they could make the landscapes more unique and vast since they didnt have to be slightly related to eachother. Plus I personally like that you can play around with other covenants without penalty like losing ranks or betraying other covenants. And I think the UI was easier to read.

Not at all, DS3 was trying to be Demon's Souls.
Very little of DS1's level and game design made it into DS3. DS1 is the only non-linear souls game, and it is my favorite because of that. It's the only game where I feel like as the player I am in control.

The Dark Soul is one of the original four souls that the Pygmy found. The dark soul is the essence of humanity, and all humans, who are the descendants of the Pygmy, carry a piece of the dark soul. Every time a branded undead dies and revives at the bonfire, they lose a piece of their soul, I think it becomes consumed by the flame. When an undead loses all of their soul, they become a hollow, possess no humanity, and go mad, which is essentially most of the enemies in the game. I think that's all correct.
