The endings are pretty clear on one aspect...this game is guilt-trapping you always..so its hard to choose sometimes.But the ending is pretty much clear.If u sacrifice Bae u go back in the loop? What loop?Well think about her powers...first time u see the tornado is not a future vision...more like a memory lapse.So 1 choice is go back in loop(u fix one thing, another breaks) and the other learn to live with the choice u made.

I killed Chloe and it messed me up for a good wile. Her saying she doesn't want her mom to die in the diner just got to me.
I saved Kate and didn't pull the trigger on the morphine, but that didn't help me not have a ton of feels during that final scene.
Chloe's parents not knowing you had all this time reconnecting with their daughter hurt. Her mom think she had no friends in the end after she died to save her tore me up.
I should have scene that ending coming from a mile away; I was blinded and got hit by the feel train instead.

Because the time travel powers were just a metaphor for Max's dealing with the whole problem of dealing with the death of her former best friend, with whom she hadn't even barely bothered to keep in touch. None of the game actually happens, except the first five minutes and the last five. Maybe what actually happened in between these points was similar in some ways to what happened in the game, but only that; similar. It's all a big psychological metaphor. Choosing bae>bay just means that Chloe is dead AND Max has become a shut in headcase living in a fantasy world, where everything and everyone real are "dead to her."

I think the bay>bae ending was the canon ending because of the way it was developed. It went into more detail and was much longer than the other ending. It evoked feeling and i felt the devs spent more time working on that ending. The build up was good too, having Chloe and Max make out and shit before going back. There was more feeling to it.
The other ending was way too short and it felt hollow. The bay>bae ending made me depressed as fuck, but the bae>bay ending felt so empty. Like Max decided to choose Chloe over everyone else and they just hold hands. No swapping of saliva.
Saving the bay has more of an impact. But I would much rather have Chloe live. I guess for a story-telling standpoint I would say the bay>bae would be the best option even though it tears me apart.

Not that anon but if I wanted a perfectly crafted story I wouldn't look for it in a video game. That being said I can still recognize the obvious flaws of the game and still enjoy it to an extent. What really made me stick with it and have fun most of the way through was the time traveling mechanics and the addicting story (even if they did a shitty job of pulling it together at the end). Also that nostalgic, northwestern autumn mood to the whole thing was 5/5 for me tbqh
