not special really, but this is my personal favorite color for themes, solarized-esque shit mostly. goes great with #7e7e7e for text and #55a for links/titles or whatever.

Also, another thing I found useful is to get a picture of plastic, then tint it to taste in GIMP/Krita/etc and slap an emblem on it. Carpet or leather works, too. These are good colors for that.
