I tried to create a customized Music Player on KLWP. I did everything right, set it to trigger on touch etc etc, but, for some reason, none of the buttons I created work. My phone even vibrates when I touch them, but nothing ever starts playing.

I just found some example to understand how Tasker works, then I read about PowerAmp API, how Android Intents works, download simple PowerAmp task as a base, created some more tasks and use them as shortcuts in buttons.

I only had a phone back then so I couldn't use ADB. I also have not found any free app that is compatible with Note 1 and don't have any overlay. But there is dedicated command console for recording so why not use it?
My phone can transcode mp4 to webm at speed 0.3FPS so I had to SCP it to my dedicated server to transcode it remotely so cutting out console from video was to much work. I'm more familiar with console anyway.

If you want to add more buttons to control looping etc. you just need to clone some task like PANEXT and change cmd=X in Extra to corresponding ID from documentation.
To display more info like position in playlist you need to check %MyTrack and add some more Splits and KLWP variables in PATRACKCHANGE.

Off-center time/date is bothering me, as is the off-center 「おやすみ」 and the random circle and divider (?) line above the icons. The whole thing is off-center vertically as well, and the fonts don't match. KLWP doesn't have a lot of native tutorials but it is very user friendly, so just play with it. You'll learn more that way. If there's something you're confused about, check https://www.reddit.com/r/kustom/, the dev posts there frequently and answers questions. But try to figure it out on your own first.

Better icons for sure. Hide the status bar, it clashes with everything else. The wooden frame is interesting but would look better if everything else suited it, as it is, it stands out quite a bit. There was a Holo rice with a wood theme before that was quite good, if you know of it. I'd check that out for inspiration if that's a direction you want to head in.

Music control buttons are way too big I think. The music info font is also kinda weird and the artist's name looks cut off a bit at the bottom...I'd pick a different font. I'd also move down the entire time/date/Holo block/icon block a bit, so it's not so close to the top. I like the tree background though.

If you're the Holo one, then yeah. Single color would look less like a clusterfuck. No worries, I'm sorry if my critique errs on the harsh side and came off as judgemental. For what it's worth, take my advice with a grain of salt. I have pretty specific taste.

I get where you're coming from, but it just is such a stark contrast and looks bad most of the time in my opinion. It definitely can work but pink is just such a light color that it really gets overwhelmed when you add it to black. I'd use white, or a deep maroon-ish/brown color (like #5e3b3f). It can be helpful to colordrop colors from the image and try to pick darks/lights from there instead of just straight black or white. That said, a white or very light pink might look good too.

The clock face is needless clutter imo, ruins the otherwise fairly clean/sharp aesthetic.
Also maybe colour match that second banner (clock one) with the colours of the one it's overlaying, as it's creating a weird blocky look that ruins the gradient you've got going on.

I feel like theres a lot of room so i would say make icons bigger or add something to first page. Also just an idea, maybe find a similar color between the two pages for the space between icons and clock. That way when you switch pages you won't see that transition line. 9/10

Try to stick to one icon set and size. Music widget is a bit big. Also the clock isn't the easiest to see, so I would maybe move it to a different spot. You can also try and stick to one color for everything. Another thing you can utilize is multiple pages by having your music and weather widget on separate pages.

I'm fairly new to this and I'm planning on making my phone Steins;Gate themed with a background from the game and the thing in the corner for notifications plus a clock. I think I can do all that easily but I also want the text box at the bottom that says the date and weather with a character that changes every day preferably with each character saying the date/weather differently.

I think there should be a little lock icon in the top-right corner when the komponent is selected in the editor. I'm pretty sure that unlocks it so that you can edit the underlying layers.

OK. I haven't changed anything in a good while, but for some reason one of the shortcuts stopped working and gave me an "app not found" error or something like that. The app was still installed and working, so I deleted that shortcut and added a new one.
Then I realized I can't change the icon. No menu appears and I can only move/delete it.
Either I'm having a brainfart and I forgot how to change icons, or... something broke? Using Apex, BTW.

KLWP question here.
I'm trying to make an email icon appear everytime I get a new mail but I can't get it to work.
What I've tried so far is:
Used Tasker to add 1 to a counter for every new mail notification and linked the variable to KLWP.
Then in KLWP I created 2 global switches. One is an On/Off switch to trigger the animation and the other one is supposed to turn switch 1 On or Off if said counter is >= 1.
But it's not working. If anyone's got a simpler way or might know what I'm doing wrong please lend a hand.

my personal preference is for Cytus. Deemo is kind of monotone with the background, but Cytus gives some eye-candy with a unique background for every song. Also, the soundtrack is a lot more diverse, whereas with Deemo, it's all piano pieces (although there are other instruments in most songs, piano takes the front and center of the game). Also, Deemo restricts the play area to the bottom half of the screen to simulate a piano keyboard, whereas Cytus leaves the majority of the screen for the play area. That's not to say that you shouldn't get Deemo, it's just that Deemo is more of an offshoot to Cytus's core gameplay
Also, the paid version is absolutely worth it. In fact, it's not worth it to play the free version, due to 30sec wait time before a song.

In my opinion, way too pale (to the extent that it's difficult to see). The serif font for the kanji also stands out compared to the sans serif font for the clock; find a sans serif Japanese font (there's loads, so you shouldn't have a problem finding a decent one). Cute otherwise, and good taste.

God, how can you have such good taste and yet such bad taste. Firstly, pure black walls can be kinda boring and feel empty, which is only exacerbated by the emptiness of the setup itself.
