Oh, that image was just an example for what the background of the image should look like. The actual image itself is fine. Having said that, the top of what you made actually looks really good. The bottom, too, will look good on a nice gradient. Though that's for another day I suppose.

Certainly you can over do it.
There are filters specifically designed to do away with moiré patterns
or ones which perform a Fourier Transform, subtract a particular frequency, then reverse transform.
Again, that's why I posted the original.
Anyone with better tools can take a crack at it.

There are no filters that don't "overdo" it, because they're all throwing away too much information. Maybe someday there will be a smarter algorithm like waifu2x that can make intelligent improvements, but right now there isn't a single filter that can do it without making the image look noticeably worse.

Long request here. As I want several versions each in 1920x1080 and 1080x1920.
First remove the crown and ear rings then shrink the broach. This is image set 1.
Take image set 1; color the broach pink and make the suit and gloves blue. This is image set 2.
Lastly, make a version all 6 each images with a contented face, closed eyes and closed mouth smile.
Total of 12 images. Like I said I know it's a lot but would be happy with set 1 for now.

If you use the magic lasso, make sure to Grow your selection a bit before doing Color to Alpha. You might also want to Feather the selection, depending on the image.
But the best renders are done without (only) relying on the lasso. You have to go over the image with the Brush tool in Color Erase mode, making sure to keep the edge of the circle inside the outlines.
And make sure to add a layer under what you're working on that's either black or some other color that will make issues obvious (I sometimes use an obnoxious bright green).

There was an error trying to search or access full images in the RebeccaBlackTech archive, so it was useless. Now the archive is archive.nyafuu.org/w/ and you can search and access full images (though older threads from RBT are lost).
So yeah, no point in having the pastebin in the OP now since it's all dead links. And there's no point in keeping the threads numbered since they are organized by date and it's easier to image search in the archive. And there's no point in having the title in the OP picture, since it only makes people ask for the textless version and it doesn't work as visual reference in the catalog.
