sup /vr/ just got pic related what do ya'll think of it? Despite having an n64 in the 90's I never played a Zelda game, think that might be the first thing I play. I plan on downloading everything for it.

total cost was a little under $300. I figured that was a good amount to spend considering I'd have every N64 game made(decided I wouldn't collect n64 games a long time ago)

That's about what I paid a couple of months ago for N64, lightly used controller, rumble pack, expansion pack, s-video cable and everdrive v3.
Then I went silly and tracked down a gameshark pro v3.2 and had a blast finding a working parallel port to upgrade it to v3.3. Have original goldeneye and JP zelda to mod with it.

I paid $70 for my jungle green N64, it came with (2) 1st party controllers, (1) 3rd party controller, two games, two expansion packs, memory card, jumper pack, rumble pack. Sold all that for $60 and kept the jungle green 64. Basically paid $10 bucks for a jungle green 64.
I just don't like the n64 controller and when I found out about the hori controllers that have gamecube like sticks it sold me on playing 64 games again.
Then the everdrive was obviously the go to. I still have my original 64 but it's just black. I want to mod my jungle green 64 so that I can make my games look pretty.

To make clear the latest everdrive is $190. I spent close to 300 because I also bought a hori controller.
I'd recommend going with an official ED64 from reputable vendors and not eBay. 190 for every n64 game is a great deal.

190 seemed totally reasonable to me. And by that point I didn't care about forking over 90 for the pic related controller. I love the colors and the stick is super crisp. I could've gotten one for 60 but it would've been a plain blue or red one.

The n64 Zelda games are overrated as all hell (poor performance and shallow combat/puzzles) and don't hold up today nearly as well as the 2d games. They're definitely not awful by any means, but don't expect 10/10 BEST GAME EVAR

I was never a big n64 fan but I figured I'd treat myself to the 64 library since I'm close to collecting every GameCube game I've ever wanted.
Just seemed like a good excuse to get a jungle green 64 and play some games I never got the chance to when I was a kid.

I would recommend downloading just a few games that interest you and play them. When you have every game, it is easy to switch to another once your interest starts to wane a little. Maybe download the rompack and just load a few onto your memory card.
Harvest Moon 64 is my favorite in the series.
