I get that they went with Nosferatu because they didn't (or couldnt) license the Dracula name from whomever holds the rights now.
But come on, Castlevania had milked the fuck out of Dracula. by by having Count Orlok as boss this game might have actually been spooky.

Nosferatu is just Romanian for vampire, it doesn't need to be about Orlok.

True, but I just feel they could have been "that one game" that went for a different experience than the age old "Christopher Lee luvs stealing womenz" story.

Coincidentally, there's a "K. Igarashi" credited as a Graphic Designer for the game.

It's Kōzō Igarashi though, at least according to MobyGames.
