The series is too and means so much to different people in different ways to try distill into one game.

This was my zelda game growing up and it really made me feel bad as a kid playing it. When you got to level 6 and the boss explains that the entire place is going to be destroyed if you go any further, it was the first time I've ever felt bad about playing through a game. Then seeing Marin at the end as a seagul was really emotional when I played it a second time with 0 continues.
