thats why you run a virtual machine with network settings set to attach to the physical NIC, then you configure it with IP and hostname that the guest OS was using, and assign new IP and hostname to your guest OS

let your boss remote into the virtual OS, where you have also attached a secondary remote program and accesed it via your smartphone router option and a usb wifi adapter on the work desktop to create a private lan and move the mouse and keyboard in the virtual OS now and then while youre actually using the mouse& keyb on the desktop to play some PC games on the guest OS
