Which version of this should I emulate? I've heard there's apparently something different wrong with the graphics on every version?
Saturn version is shit with heavy slowdowns. Not even the pointless added stuff makes it worthwhile. So PSX it is.
I like the stupid ass cheesy American dialog of PSX, so do that one.
PSP version has
1) original japanese voice acting with superior Norio Wakamoto and english subs
2) extra content that was in the original japanese PS1 release but cut on the west
3) playable Maria (with her Rondo moveset, not her Saturn one)
4) best ending credits music unless you really like cheesy 90s rhythm and blues that doesn't fit with the rest of the game

You're talking about The Dracula X Chronicles right? Does PSP emulate well?

Yes, PPSSPP is great.

Only thing is the psps native res is really fucking weird (480x272)
Saturn version is my favourite but I don't recommend it on a first play since it's Jap only.
Play the PS1 version then play the Saturn version for all the extra content if you like the game enough.

PPSSPP fixes that thankfully. Can render the game at whatever resolution you so desire.
