What's your favorite /vr/ in-game item?

Probably the screw attack.

This one is more of a guilty pleasure, since it makes the game basically impossible to lose.
I'd have to think long and hard on what my favorite is but the chain in River City Ransom comes to mind pretty quickly.

The "Sword Beam" From a Link to the past is a whirly sparkle thing, instead of a literal flashing sword laser like in Zelda 1.
It's far less satisfying than the NES counterpart.
I may chalk that up to NES sound effects in general having a more satisfying sound to them compared to their follow ups.
>that weak sauce fireball noise in SMW

Also, whenever you would attack an enemy close-up, it would register the hit of the whirly thing dealing less damage than the sword itself, and would somehow get more and more noticeable when you power up your sword.

The baddest shield ever. Currently I'm trying to model it in 3ds Max.
