The box it came in is very cool. It was a novel idea to try and use two 32 bit cpu's in tandem to have a "64 bit" system. It was competent at sprite scaling.

It wasn't ahead of it's time. It was a piece of shit that used two shitty 32-bit processors jury rigged together so badly most programmers couldn't even figure out how to use one of the processors correctly. They put a fucking Motorola 68000, the same processor in the Genesis, on the board for controller support and programmers ended up just using that to put their games on it, so all the game came out looking like Super Nintendo/Genesis era games.
The Jaguar fucking KILLED Atari, and not having a main console during the Mega Drive/SNES era destroyed any brand name they had left.

jaguar had some pretty advanced hardware for its time. but much like what happened with the saturn it was to complicated for devs to program for and thus it suffered for it.

At a guess I'd give that to the Jag since it uses carts - less moving parts, less chance of errors.

This one is hard to say because there were like nine 3do models; some looked like cheap Chinese VCRs while others looked like high-end hi-fi cd players.
