Only consoles, because there are great retro computers that play games too? Maybe even graphic calculator Tetris? What about the LCD games such as those from Nintendo's Game & Watch, Konami, or Tiger?

Hard to say, depends on what we define as a console, and are we counting multiples too?
Famicon = NES?
Genesis = Genesis 2 = Genesis 3?
Is Sega CD counted separately? Or do we fold Genesis, Sega CD, and 32X into one?
Where do we draw lines with Gameboy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance?
Do computers count? many of the 80s had cartridge slots with a library of games for that medium.
On the low end and combining things like treating all the Genesis iterations as the same, I counted about 40 platforms in my collection. If I go all out and count individual consoles; (treating the Genesis iterations separately, plus Asian & US models, plus multiples of them,) then I'm sure that number approaches 100.

I used to have a PSP 1000 but it broke and I need to find a replacement-- probably a 3000. I'm still looking for a Sega Master System and am interested in picking up a Turbo Duo / PC Engine Duo, and possibly an Atari Lynx. Fortunately I haven't been bitten by the retro PC collecting bug yet, because that is a potentially very expensive and space consuming hobby.
