I still sometimes play this one.
Also stumpled upon the list the other day. So many memories
http://www.scofen.com/categories/best-nes-games
I never played that crappy console in the first place.
>>3326609
How old are you kid?
>>3326580
It's funny, I watch old games on YouTube all the time but it never occurred to me to play any of them. Are there any good ones on NES or GameCube or whatever?
>>3326580
I play SMB1/2/3 and Zelda on a pretty regular basis.
>>3326672
You do know the Nes was basically nothing outside of the US and Japan, right?
>>3326874
>Are there any good ones on NES or GameCube or whatever?
Sonic the Hedgehog
I tried playing Dick Tracy earlier today... it's still frustratingly hard. I think I played it for the first time when I was like 3 years old. I'm now 28 and I still can't figure out where the fuck that fake $20 bill came from.
>>3326580
R.C. Pro-Am
I played the fuck out of this game when I was a kid and its still great.
>>3326672
>>3327710
>replying to australia-kun non-ironically.
hmm... need to try one of these
I go back to the NES mega man games once in awhile
also shatterhand, batman, ninja gaiden series and if I just want a laid back, simple (but still challenging) game I go with lunar pool, bubble bobble and arkanoid
also a bunch of Famicom games which never saw a US release
>>3327575
>imply any place else mattered as the U.S. and Japan were the number 1 and 2 biggest regions for videogames respectively.
Nobody gives a shit about some Amiga eurotrash gutter games, Australia-kun.
>>3326580
I love this game.
Always liked this game despite not being able to get very far.
Double Dragon is always fun to come back to.
>>3326580
Almost every major game from back then. Whether it's one of the Mario games, Zelda 1 or 2, Metroid, Dr. Mario, Tetris, Balloon Fight ... I don't play them as regularly like daily or weekly but when I do I still enjoy them as much as years ago.
>>3326580
I still play my NES on a fairly basis; way more often than I play any other system's games.
Also how the fuck does that list not have any Castlevania? Are you kidding me?
>>3327575
You do know that countries are nothing outside of the US and Japan, right?
>>3327575
>the Nes was basically nothing outside of the US and Japan
>and South America
>and China
>and former Soviet Union
>and Poland
2/10, made me reply
>>3326874
Crash Bandicoot and Alex Kidd are great NES games.
>>3328143
>also a bunch of Famicom games which never saw a US release
Any recommendations? I got one of those 60-to-72 pin converters and I'm looking for good things to use it with.
>>3328653
Please, not even Americans play American games.
>>3328680
Teddy Rubskin has one of these penguin bad boys, it's actually kind of good.
>>3328689
Would you like to buy a Multicart?
>>3328693
>getting trolled this hard
>>3328682
Never joke about NES games because those games may be real.
https://youtu.be/1LRUB3QYuz0
>>3328738
Trolling? in my days, trolling was a art
>>3328761
in your days, trolling was 'an' art
>>3327575
You know that American and Japan were like 99% of the video game market in the 80s, right?
>>3326580
Contra
Super C
Duck Hunt
Hogan's Alley
Wild Gunman
Barker Bill's Trick Shooting
Recca
Crisis Force
Gradius
Gradius II
Dr Mario
Super Dodge Ball
Among others. Still play the system on a regular basis.
>>3329364
In America. It was different wlsewhere. In Japan Japanese games were more populat.
>>3329380
Are you retarded?
>>3329496
Are you an American nigger? Nobody has ever given a fuck about American games. Americans imported Japanese games because American games are so shit.
>>3329792
Honestly all western games are garbage outside of some very specific genres like first person shooters or RTS.And I think those genres are garbage anyway.
>>3329798
Enjoy your Jap story 'games', then.
>>3330004
I sure do, thanks.
>>3328689
Parodius, Akumajou Special - Boku Dracula-kun , and Splatter House are must plays. No idea why these never came to the US
Yume Penguin Monogatari is weird but fun, with an interesting power meter that is quite unconventional, and some cute funny cutscenes (i have a translated version)
Much more are out there but I'm still discovering them myself.
>>3330389
Belt scrolling shooters are better done by Europeans.
Is there really anyone here who doesn't play any NES/famicom games on a semi regular basis? Its the most popular retro console by far.
>>3330464
No.
>>3330470
I don't. I don't really give a fuck about it, to be quite honest. It has nothing that interests me.
>>3331092
fuck off
>>3326580
Just picked up Adventure Islands 1-3, Castlevania, Ghosts n Goblins, and Ninja Gaidan. I've only really played Ninja Gaidan so far and absolutely love it.
What do you guys think of Gauntlet?
>>3332515
It's a fine game
Welcome to NAJU
>>3332857
tell me more
>>3332857
Never played this one before, matter of facts, I never seen it before
>>3333528
whew, thanks for the clarification. Happens so often I play games and never see them
>>3333528
Oh man you don't know what you're missing. It's a difficult game though, I recommend searching a guide online.
>>3334313
Gonna check it out when I'm home
>>3327728
I beat it back when I was 13. I'd come home and play it each day, doing a little better over time. Keep at it anon. Just play it to unwind a little each day.
>>3335095
This one is actually really hard
River City Ransom and Zelda II are the only ones I can play for long periods of time.
Everything else was done better on SNES. Sometimes directly and literally, like Super Mario All-Stars.
>>3336614
River City Ransom is really good
>>3337658
radical
>>3337675
I dont believe I can fathom what a breakup machine would look like
>>3337682
Well, I can say that it certainly isn't a Retron 5 hooked up to a gorgeous LCD television via HDMI :)
>>3326580
I still play LoZ and FF 1/2/3 pretty often.
solar jetman
>>3338635
>solar jetman
Iron Tank, it's just a comfy childhood memory game I'd like to find pic related so I can finally beat it.
>>3337735
how does your wife's son like it?
Play them nes games on your browser!
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/4-websites-to-play-nes-games-for-free-through-the-browser/
I used to play this with my brothers
>>3340980
Why the fuck would anyone wanna do that?
>>3341802
I found it on by google, the title made it feel like you can play it on the websites, but it was not. Yes, they are garbage
I remember this gave me nightmares
Anyone played this one before?
>>3344257
nobody did, you're the first person ever. Game's been made, sold, and locked away for years, until you unwrapped the only copy of it ever unwrapped, popped it into your system and played it. Or, if you emulate, people may have opened their copies, but exclusively to dump the rom. They've never been put into an NES. People download the rom to archive it, they don't actually play it either.
So, you're definitely the only one. Congratulations.
>>3343923
Ever beat it on Advanced difficulty?
>>3344414
>Ever beat it (...) ?
no
>>3339906
Where is there a tied up girl in Shatterhand?
>>3344408
Unfunny people make me sad :(
>>3344925
Same here
>>3344925
what about people that use the phrase "am I the only one that ..." or variations of it on a worldwide image board?
>>3326609
>he plays the great gianna sisters
>>3326580
Mario bruhs, mega manz, punch out, just a the usual casual faggotry.
>>3345273
>Punch-Out
>casual
>>3345280
It's pretty casual until the third circuit. You'd have to be a dumb button mashing faggot not to get that far at the very least.
>>3345348
>third circuit
it's a cart game. It only has one partial circuit inside, and a bunch of ROM chips
>>3345354
Booooo.
>>3345370
this is text, you can't startle me like that
>>3327575
You do know you're wrong, right?
Portuguesefag here, everyone and their cat had a NES.
>>3326672
>took the b8
>>3346337
This one is really fun
>>3330464
this is the wrongest opinion ever
>>3345943
You're replying to Australia-kun, don't bother.
>>3330464
>europoors
>good at anything besides swallowing cum
>>3346953
Epic game
>>3326874
wow this bait is fetching...
I pretty much never finish Famicom/NES games because too hard (and I don't want to cheat with save states), no saves for many of them, and remakes are more appealing for many.
>>3348551
you mean you have to use your hands? that's like a baby's toy
One of the best action game ever made
>>3341792
Absolute fucking awesome game.
This was probably the earliest fighting game
>>3350962
earliest belt scroller at least
I have the gba port of castlevania 1 and I beat it about once a month.
One month I decided to see how many screens I could get up to and hit 72.
Kirby's Adventure
Gimmick!
Super Mario Bros. 3
I remember this to be a very difficult game
>>3351607
Just bought that. Seems like a nice game. Havent played it much yet though.
>>3351613
Is it ninjia gaidan?
>>3349407
Just played this one. Another great japan-only game
>>3348551
What game is this?
>>3353418
Disregard that. Wild Gunman.
>>3351613
It is nice. I'm not into superhero games and I thought it was great.
>>3328501
This.
And that soundtrack
>>3354202
The best ever
>>3331092
You don't like fun games?
Sorry to hear that.
>>3356005
99% of games on NES are awful.
>>3356089
yeah i like turrican too xD
>>3356089
Why are you even here?
>>3356598
the 1%? You don't have to play the shit to enjoy the good games, do you?
>>3356598
NES isn't the only retro console you feloniously stupid cunt. Not only that, but there ARE good NES games, they're just an overwhelming minority.
>>3344925
The fact that you mistook that for an attempt at humor says a lot about why you're an insufferable bother. Yes, I've played Milk and Nuts, and yes, it's awesome.
>>3356615
Let's say there is like 5000 NES titles in total. 1% of them would be like 50. hmm...
This, hahaha
>>3358487
Interesting!
>>3360814
some Zelda fan game?
Plain ol' Ice Hockey. It's a lot of fun with friends, and I think its fun to play as USSR
>>3361001
why are they all lying down on the ice?
>>3361001
