Hello /vr/, I was wondering if you could recommend me some games...
I'm looking to play "action games", by this I mean something that has a bit more action than a platformer like Mario, I don't mind if platforming is in it but not a straight up platform game....I also don't want to play an RPG, exploration like in Super Metroid is fine but it can't be a full blown RPG.....
So, what would you recommend that isn't Mega Man? Pic not related

It's like Metroid but you save your friends and can switch characters/upgrade each and you go find floppy disks to blow up a base.

Bionic commando is a go but bear in mind its long as fuck and the gameplay won't be exactly fair with you on your first try (getting used to the lack of jumps can be a pain in the ass)

Look up shmups, beat 'em up, run and guns, bullet hell, old school shooters, fighting games for 1v1 multiplayer.
Sky is indeed the limit.
