from a crypto point of view a floppy would be enough to hold a super strong encryption key. If they are easier to produce than usb I'd see this as a viable thing. 1 time padded floppies that are destroyed/magnatized after 1 use.

Well, Journey to Silius did start out as a Terminator game, so the existence of floppy disks isn't far-fetched.
