I know a lot of retro games kinda looked similar to this, but I'm talking specifically about games, mostly modern, that incorporated this point of view to the gameplay as well, or as a big part of the atmosphere.

I honestly don't remember much, it's been more than 20 years since I played it.

The house stages you can controls the kid and Mot (the monster, who is your friend), and other stages that have a top-down view and you fight enemies and control Mot.
I believe it was based on a spanish comic book.
