Were you tricked by the cover into renting this game from the rental store?
No, but I was tricked into buying the sequel for the Sega Saturn.
At least it has a Brian May soundtrack, I guess.
Not really, looks gross now, looked gross then
Some vr babies will defend this game and say it was good. It was not.

I rented it but I don't remember much, other than I wasted my allowance that week.
I remember reading a review of the sequel for PS1 and the reviewer said it was the worst playstation game he has ever played.

I bought the first game on PC, the director's cut version, the second game on PC, *both* director's cut versions for the second game, *and* Theatre of Pain (the third game in all but name).

Sequel isn't that bad, on PC at least, and unfairly maligned due to the first game's horrible reputation. But it's still not particularly good.

The graphics were pretty good, so was the sountrack.
Allister Brimble tricked me into buying it.

Yes. All I remember was that I thought that there was something wrong with my controller

Never met it back then, but I don't think I would get tricked. I mean, the title sounds generic, the art looks generic, developer is generic, etc.
Basically, the only thing attractive about it is the publisher, but not enough to convince me.

The cover says Acclaim. Anybody with half a brain would know to avoid it by that alone.

I unironically enjoyed this game.
I remember renting and enjoying it when I was maybe 6 or 7 but that was before I learned how to actually play fighting games. Kind of scared to go back and play it now but I want to anyway.

i was almost tricked by the fucking press, praising it. Played it. It was bad - i mean it was a fighter where you could chose only one combatant.
Played it in an emulator years later. Beaten it in first try (not a try actually all i did was press b) half an hour. AND the ending was the intro going faster. I feel sorry for those who bought that.

My first PC came bundled with it, The Dig and Descent.
Needless to say, I got less gameplay from it then I got from the Win95 maze screensaver.

I still have it
