Are there some 3D action/adventure games that have that colorful, grand adventure feel like my Shonen animes.
For the PS1 in particular?
The only reference for what I'm looking for are the DQMJ games on the DS, not retro yes, but as I've noted it's a reference for what I'm looking for.
In fact I'd say much of the art for Dragon Quest has the aesthetic and feel of what I'm referring to, but as I've also noted, I'm partial to a more 3D action/adventure game and not a turn-based RPG, however RPG elements are okay.

Brave Fencer Musashi probably has the vibe you're looking for. It's a bright adventure game from Squaresoft with a fun enemy skill capturing mechanic.

been meaning to pick up a copy for the longest time but never run into it.
I assume prices aren't too bad but probably a bit much than what I'm willing to pay.

Yeah I guess its gotten up in price, you can sometimes find it without the FF8 demo for cheaper and unless you're a really anal collector the demo is pretty much worthless.
