What do you guys think about this RPG? Playing it right now for the first time and I'm loving it!

One of those pretty overrated games that people hype up due to it being "exclusive" to Japan. It's fairly easy and straight forward, a even easier FF6 but no real interesting plot points.

Yeah the Mantras are fun and while the story is nothing revolutionary I like the atmosphere very much and the characters are all likeable in some way or the other. There's also some good animations and the music fits the game like a glove.

I'd say its actually harder than FFVI but that doesn't mean much.

I disagree, the narrative gimmick was also pretty unique for its time.
