Any love for the Mystical Ninja/Ganbare Goemon games?
I just beat Mystical Ninja starring Goemon! for the umpteenth time last night. It's still my personal favorite game of all time, even though I'm starting to see some of its flaws.
Might restart Goemon's Great Adventure soon, because I never got around to beating that one yet.
Seems like a great series. The humor is top-notch and the gameplay is really well done. I want to play through 2-4 on SNES, but waiting for an English script.

I wish, so much, i could play this again. However, my younger brother sold my N64 for drugs (a goddamn dime bag, no less...) and i'm reasonably sure most of my games went the same fucking way.
plus, this is one of those games that just refuses to emulate. either it's a slideshow, or everything is scrambled.

is there any combonation of settings, plugins and emulators that can make mystical ninja actually work, or is hardware the only way? I'd rather the hardware, but that might take a bit, and i've been wanting to play this again for years.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is definitely my favorite N64 game. I rented it when I was a kid and fell in love with it.
It's a shame the series is doomed to Pachinko hell along with every other Konami franchise.
I fucking love the Goemon games. Hell, I still have all of my Goemon games (the SNES one and the two N64 ones that were released in the U.S.).
