Is /vr/ the best board ever? I'm inclined to think so! Post some games with some rad animation in 'em if you feel so inclined!

Pic related, it's tempo!

It's the worst board desu.

1 response to a thread per hour.

No new content. So every thread is the same shit over and over.

and here it is in a state of movement since this is a thread about animation.

Slow =/= bad

>every thread is the same shit over and over
I disagree! There's stuff being discovered and discussed. A lot of cool things are being shared like the KISS doll thread or the pinball general. Not to mention DOOM!

I'm a dedicated /b/ro, sorry.

/vr/ is a pretty good board. There is some /v/ shit spillover here and there, but then they lose interest and fuck off.

I'm grateful for the dedicated doom thread. I get a lot of play from the wads I discover there. Also, here and there I'll get an answers for emulation or even a few things I overlooked in an older game I played.

There will always be autism and shitposting on ever board on 4chan in general, but /vr/ tends to be decent.

Not an argument.
Fuck off, retard.

>Slow =/= bad

So why are you on 4chan instead of a dedicated forum?

The point of 4chan is fast, anonymous conversations. Some of /vr/ threads last a month.

That's not the case at all. The emphasis on 4chan is anonymous discussion, yes, but no one has ever said anything time-related when it comes to 4chan discussions. Often times it's said that the faster a board is the lower it's quality so a slow board is often preferred by anons actually familiar with 4chan.

So again, slow =/= bad

Getting an obvious example of great animation out of the way: Metal slug.

Slower board means less people which in turn means it's a shit board because nobody goes here.

Checkmate.
>>
>>3279850
slower board means higher quality actually

name 1 fast board that's close to quality

I like your positive attitude op. Warzard/Red Earth and other Capcom fighters have pretty good animation.
>>
>>3279850
Its slow because many people like contributing thought out "goodposts" and not 100% shitposts.

But less people going there means there's less shit being produced by the few anons visiting it.

Let's compare /v/, one of the fastest boards on the website; with /vr/, a much slower board.

Say there are one hundred anons visiting /vr/ daily, and let's say about ten percent of them want to let loose their bowels and just want to turn the board into their personal bathroom... Mods and janitors can keep up with what's bad and what's good and delete anything blatantly poop while the cool anons that contribute quality posts can have their threads prosper and grow in the ten-page catalog

now let's move on to /v/

Since /v/'s much bigger and faster let's say there's ten thousand anons visiting it daily, and let's say only ten percent of them, same deal as /vr/, are focusing on turning it into kuso-central. There's a bigger difference! Everything's so fast due to the higher amount of shit-anons making bad threads and all of the good threads are being drowned out by poopy threads made by the ten percent of shit-anons, and the mods/jannies can't keep up! Bad threads take over and become a bigger influence on the board and the anons that make good threads can't have theirs prosper and grow since the ten-page catalog is being filled with crap!

So you see, a slow board doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. In fact it insures it's quality.

Mischief Makers art style and smooth 60fps to boot make it one of the best looking N64 games on top of the stellar gameplay. Love the animation.

I will concede only because you made non aggressive replies and do not deserve to be further b8'd.

The guy that told me to fuck off to /v/ is still a faggot though.

i have a question for you;
i have played the original tempo about 2 years ago, and i have heard of the sequel on the sega saturn which only got released in japan.

is there any english fan translation of this game somewhere?

Nope. No english translation whatsoever. Someone should probably get on that since there's very little text in the game that should be manageable enough.

There's a certain portion in the game where it asks you to answer questions by taking certain paths in a shmup section. Pick the wrong path and you get sucked into a black hole. You can bypass this by sticking to the edge of the screen and waiting until the game scrolls far enough to let you see where the black hole path is.
>>
>>3280240
that seems fair enough. i hope there will be one out there soon :/
>>
>>3279804
If speed is our criteria /n/ is easily among the worst, it's got a thread from over a year ago up right now.

Tempo has such amazing animation, but those backgrounds are a seizure-inducing nightmare.
>>
>>3280967

A one-year-old thread is hardly a metric of slowness. /oe/ had a 4-year-long thread. /r/ has a 7-year-old thread. /wsg/ had a 2-year-old thread that was nothing but spoopy clowns.
>>
>>3281493
what board is /oe?
>>
>>3279798
It's good to see other people talking about Tempo. Very unique game and I'm glad other people told me about it.

also if you're in the mood, you should check out Steamgear Mash on Saturn
