Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but that's one I cannot understand.
I've played through 2 many more times than 1, both are good games but 2 feels more fun and doesn't just feel like they tried to stick to the basic SMB format in portable form.
we can agree on one thingboth sml games have top tier soundtracks

Best on the GB maybe. Don't get me wrong, SML2 is an awesome game and I played the shit outta it on those long car trips back in the day, but it still lacked a certain je ne sais quoi that would put it up there with the console games.
