Just bought this game today and am having a blast. Taking a break after a 6~ hour single sitting, will most likely continue tomorrow.
Anywho, retro tactics games thread?

FFT is my second favorite strategy game on consoles, and my favorite SRPG with grid-based combat.
The only game that I prefer over it is pic-related. It plays very differently though.

>Brigandine>Dragon Force
I actually played Brigadine many, many years ago and have to disagree. Dragon Force is so much better, at least from what I remember since I never went back to replay Brigandine.

Good choice. One of the best final fantasy games(imho, tbqhfam).
I assume you got the ps1 version? There's some very good equipment you can steal mid-to-late game. Keep an eye out for them(chantage, genji gear, etc.)!
I'm a strong proponent of "untarnished" experiences, but you really can lose out on some -godly- gear by not treasure hunting or stealing on a one-off map/boss.
I highly recommend you check out these guides:

Also, making new saves every now and then isn't a bad idea at all. There are some hard fights that can be borderline impossible without abusing game mechanics(yell and scream in particular).
Cheers, OP.
