One of the best looking GC titles that, for some reason never got a translation. Have you tried it?
It's on my list but I still need to get around to playing the first Star Ocean.

I still need to give it a go myself.
I tried to play it in French because it has a high mutual intelligibility with my mother tongue but I got bored after a while. Same shit happened with Surging Aura.
