You know these things usually come with something to keep the lid sensor from going off right? You need to do that or it wont work.

Hmm... was asking since I was trying out Import Player, and it got stuck in the boot screen for literally 15 minutes.
Import player wasn't considered great even at the time. For swap trick try that gameshark cd (I forget which version, but it was at isozone). Try patching the iso for your region using 'patch-it' software then burn disc and perform swap trick with lid sensor pressed down.
