Let's talk about some games for the greatest retro console out there.
I was thinking of buying a NES about a year ago but since then prices have literally doubled. People are trying to charge £50 upwards for the console only, no wires and chips/yellowing all over. Boxed consoles with wires are going for £150, three times the price I paid for one for my friend's birthday a while back. I honestly don't see any end to this.
Not calling you one, but why do retro posers always pick the Nes as the best thing ever?

It's a legitimate great console with lots of classics.
If you're gonna pose, do it right.

Last year i bought 2 for £30 on ebay because the seller couldnt get games to work because he didnt clean the connectors. I also just bought another for £20 that needed a new tray, but i had a spare already.
Just look out for things like that. Collectors always want working consoles, so never seem to go for untested or broken stuff. Theres one on ebay now for £25 untested.
Playing Castlevania for the first time for a few days now and the boss on the stage five it's a pain to deal with but I'm working on it.
Picked it up for $25 from a thrift store a month ago. Now im regretting selling it

I thought they prefered SNES
River city ransom waa great even though I didnt beat it till many years later. My older cousin was literally too dumb to raise his stats

Is that the frankenstein monster and the flea man? I remember them giving me trouble when I first encountered them. I typically put more focus on the flea man as he jumps around and has a projectile while the monster just kinda walk and isn't threatening. On the the first bone dragon in that boss room if you whip where it was after you kill it there's a pork chop if that helps, good luck.
At the moment I'm playing Kirby's adventure, such a fun little game. I feel it's basically the perfect game to just pop in and play, that with smb1 and mega man 4 for me.

this...
Been playing Shatterhand a lot. Props to whoever recommended it. Very underrated game. Same with Power Blade and Monster In My Pocket
Vice Project Doom is also a great platformer/run and gun

Kirby games are so based. Especially early ones, they always came out toward the end of a console's life span, so they always get the most out of the hardware.

This dude, singleplayer i fancied Star Tropics and Crystalis (pic)

Fuck off with your flavor of the month.
>>3253515
One thing is that the US and JAP version have a single different level, which version are you playing?
>>3253617
Fuck off with your lolsonerdyxD shit console for AVGN fanboy turbo autists.
>>3253625
Are you mad that a Sega console didn't get the best Castlevania game?
>>3253632
Master of Darkness is better. Enjoy your tiny sprites, washed out colours, awful sound, crappy controller, and ugly console, AVGNtard.

Massive library. Lots of hits. Lots of rotten eggs too. The nintendo seal of quality didn't really mean shit. never really has. I think it's just a matter of what system you started out on.

US Version

>Master of Darkness is better.
Sure it is Australia-kun, sure it is..
>>3253637
>Master of Darkness is better than Castlevania III

But I don't even like the AVGN. Why do you keep projecting such nonsense upon me Kangaroo man?
I'm really curious why Australia-kun has such a massive grudge against Nintendo. Did Yamauchi fuck his mother or something?

Recca on Famicom is a great shmup. It's not NES, but can easily be repro'd/converted/emulated on NES anyway
