Personally, I do both. I have a Backlit DMG for when I wanna play a game in my living room, and a Super Gameboy for when I play Gameboy games in my gameroom.
I have a Gameboy Player as well, but I don't like using the Gamecube controller to play anything really action oriented and my GBA isn't exactly in the best shape to use as a controller.
