Hello /vr/. I just noticed there's an English patch for Echo Night 2, and I was wondering if it was necessary to play the first one.

I played the PS2 game and, though I don't remember ever finishing it, I do remember enjoying it.

Well, I have no idea.
In fact when I played the PS2 game I didn't know it was a full series.
All games in the series are standalone, but you should play the first one either way. It's good, and the cruise ship is a very nice haunted house.
