What are some fun shmups with point-blank mechanics? Weapon number 2 from Axelay and the laser from Donpachi is what I'm looking for. Gradius when firing up close with options also applies.

Raiden's vulcan spread up close is stronger than blue or purple lasers.
Thunder Cross 2 is OK. Somewhat of a Gradius clone. The dual forward and reverse laser is the best weapon.
