Japanese game = anime
English version = western trash
why ?

>>3226075
Before the anime boom, Publishers feared that the weird Japanese art styles would confuse and scare Westerners. They did everything to hide it. They would change cover art, or sometimes do whole conversions like this.
>>3226081
But this is exactly the opposite of that. The Jetsons game was created first, and then converted for the Japanese market.
>>3226081
shes cute though I prefer it
No this is not a Charlie's Angels game.
>>3226083
rly?
>>3226075
Guess what anon-It began as a Jetsons game, it didn't receive the animu makeover until it was released in Japan the following year.Do your research next time
>>3226089
Of course it is, just use your imagination. Very hard.
>>3226075
Dude, the vacuum cleaner mechanic in this game was A++
Like the other guys said, the Jetsons game came first though. Yokai Buster was them realizing that they made something very good and could easily change some things for the Asian market and get some more money.
George Jetson is pretty cool and so is Ruka. I see no problems with this. I wouldn't mind a sequel.
>>3226118
But a sequel to which one?
Is the japanimation version easier, or did they only dumb down the art style?
>>3226118
Ruka came AFTER the jetsons?
I thought it was like that capcom ninja game and yo!noid. In which the ninja game was first.
>>3226081
They were right because anime is gay.
>>3226227
It is easier.
>>3226128
A sequel with Ruka of course, making a sequel with Jetson would do more harm than good.
I remember renting that Jetsons game once and it was fun.
Taito did some good H-B licensed stuff, the Flintstones game on NES was good too (Rescue of Hoppy and Dino)
RIP cute fairies, the west couldn't handle them
>>3226932
Same thing happened to puyopuyo and the west still doesn't get puyo + Tetris.
>Japanese game = anime
>English version = western trash
as if anime=good
fuck off to /a/ you retard
>>3226075
There's one pretty big deal though, Ruka Youkai Buster is missing the entire last level.
>>3226489
There is a wacky racers anime?
>>3226489
Low-framerate low-resolution garbage. Dreamcast version for life.
A cute game about a shounen who throws his magical hat.
>>3228195
Decap Attack is badass and done well where it feels like a completely different game.
>>3228182
japan LOVE wacky races, it got parodied a shit ton back in the 70's and 80's anime
Street [s]Fighter 2[/s] Combat edition totally not that girly anime shit Ranma 1/2.
>>3229421
what?
but we got a ranma game in the US, which was weird considering animes standing back then as something really foreign.
>>3229430
What year did the US get Ranma?
Anyway I guess if they did, it's because Rumiko Takahashi was popular in america back then, Lum was probably the fist waifu of many 80s otaku in USA.
pic related counts? it's Power Rangers Fighting Edition. In Japan this game was never released (despite containing actual sentai mechas they knew, but not in the american MMPR context), instead they did a Gundam game using the same engine from the PW game, but the PR game was released first.
Both games are pretty cool.
>>3229430
they changed all the characters to generic tuff dudes with attitudes.
>>3229430
we did get this though in 1992
>>3229450
We got Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle in '93.
>>3229484
im hard just thinking about it
>>3229505
The localized manga certainly did make me hard.
Enough to buy a loose cart of Hard Battle, back when I was a prepubescent little shit.
>>3229505
>WHERE ARE MY NIPPLES?
>>3229460
Isn't it better this way, though? I remember they changed some moeblob girl into a killer clown.
>>3229460
I'd take tuff dudes over pedophilia any day.
>>3229483
yeah, thats the one
