What are some retro games that Eastern Europeans, aka The Masters of Modding, still playing/modding today?
Heroes III comes to mind.

The old Fallouts have been modded onto new FO adventures courtesy of eastern europe (Fallout Resurrection, Fallout of Nevada and many more), the sad thing is that they haven't been fully translated to english yet.

Eastern europe generally has much less income (or higher taxes on said income) so they can't buy as many games as western countries, so they get by by making and playing free content for the best titles they have.

That makes sense. They also seem to be really into the beta/cancelled games scene too. I often find lots of Russian speaking Youtube videos about stuff like Resident Evil 1.5 or the Tomb Raider betas.
