MC had McKids which costed us money.
7UP had Cool Spot which costed us money.
Kellogs made a great platformer which was free.
Haribo (Hariboy's Quest) made a point and click adventure which costed us money.
McCain fries made a fun point and click adventure which was free.

Zool. You collect candy to beat each level.

Is it good? No, it's a bad sonic clone. Zool 2 is decent though

That's kind of an ironic opening choice there, OP. The devs were actually concerned with making a good game over product placemen, so McDonalds ended up not backing that game because it didn't plug McDonalds food enough in their opinion.

Anyway, Biker Mice from Mars is one of the worst offenders ever. It is absolutely riddled with Snickers ads.
>>
>>3215258
Where ever did you get the idea for this thread?
>>
>>3215724
One would hope that it would be full of Mars ads instead of Snickers (especially since they are both made by the same company).
>>
>>3215734
Mars bars are Milky Way bars over here in America Town. I've never in all my life seen an actual Mars bar sold here.
>>
>>3215741
Those are two different types of bars, normally both are available.

What the fuck is going on in your city?!
>>
>>3215741
Canadian here, you're missing out. Mars bars are GOAT.
>>
>>3215741
Where I live, milky way is a smaller bar and the stuff inside is sweeter and less chocolaty.
>>
>>3215741
this. i've lived in several states, visited many, etc. and never seen a mars bar in my 30 years alive.
>>
>>3215741
One of the reasons I'd never move out into America. The Mars bars are some of the best chocolate bars ever made.
>>
>>3215757
That's my point, I'm not missing out. The American Milky Way and the Mars bar is the exact same candy. And the Milky Way that the rest of the world gets is actually a different bar because it doesn't have caramel in it. Go look it up yourself.
>>
>>3215760
Mars bars here have caramel and nougat, covered in milk chocolate. They're fucking awesome.

>Ameriburgers have never had a Royale with Cheese
>>
>>3215786
I bet you anything it's not as good. Then again Euro chocolate bars are better than Canadian ones soo.
>>
>>3215724
What pisses me off about this one is that the Snickers product placement was only in Europe. In PAL territories. WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING
>>
>>3215786
Yup, that looks just like the eu mars bar. Milky Way around here is much less sweet and well - milky. Then again corn syrup isn't utilized as a sugar alternative as much in eu so it probably tastes different anyway.
>>
>>3215827
Probably to help the transition from Marathon to take.
>>
One of the programmers of MC Kids said that "We had a ton of fun making the game and we were really excited about it, but the McDonalds executives were completely unimpressed. They felt it was too difficult for the target audience and also didn't have enough advertisement for their food. The game received minimal promotion from them. It was a huge letdown to us."
>>
>>3215861
American chocolate tastes like vomit.
>>
>>3215827
Well Europe is a much, much smaller market than NA and Japan. To recoup costs of distribution there, it's likely they cut a deal with Mars for product placement.
>>
>>3216031
Interesting

I do remember being quite surprised on how good the game was when I played it as a kid.
>>
>>3215734
That just looks like a Three Musketeers with some caramel added in

Was is a plug? Without a doubt. But that being said, it was a very inventive and rather diverse platformer. Beat the hell out of most Mario games.
>>
>>3219703
Holy shit. I had not idea there was a sequel.
>>
Anyone else find it really sad that kids these days grow up without knowing Grimace, Birdie, the fry guys, Hamburglar, and all the rest? They barely even show Ronald in the commercials anymore. As a kid I had bed sheets with the whole McDonald's cast on them. It was great.
>>
>>3219770
How about the Moon Man? Remember him? A McDonalds near where I grew up in VA had a full sized statue of him at a piano.
>>
>>3219781
Oh I loved the Moon Man as a kid, I used to listen to his songs in the car. My mom made my turn them off when we drove through certain neighborhoods, though.

And another where you are an ace detective who travels through time and solves the case through his insurance plan.

>M.C. Kids is a 1992 platform game developed and published by Virgin Interactive.

They also did Cool Spot. Did Virgin Devs have to slave away doing product placment games?

> Additionally, a different version of the game - MC Kids- was released for the Game Boy, as McDonaldland. This version was released outside of Europe as Spot: The Cool Adventure, themed upon the Cool Spot franchise.

OMG Cool Spot and Mc Kids IS THE SAME!

Did you also play Tom Long like I did? Also only came out in Germania.
Also there is a political party point and click game about Norbert Bluhm I think but it might have been someone else.
I'm off to play some Dunkle Schatten.

>A Super NES port was also in development but was never completed for undisclosed reasons, though a ROM image has since surfaced
>A Game Boy port of the title was also fully developed (by Damian Stones, of Climax) but was never released for the same legal reasons as the Super NES version.

Can't find the GB/SNES versions. Any help, anon?

44 posts and no Chex Quest? What the fuck is wrong with you plebian savages?

The devs put a lot of effort in to bring enjoyable, free Doom gameplay to children whose parents wouldn't let them play the real thing. The level design was fun and the environments were interesting. They obviously cared and had enough pride to not just release shovelware crap. Bootspork is life.
