I have Final Fight CD, it's pretty fun.
Must have sucked being a SNES-only kid back in the day if you liked beat'em ups, when all the cool kids were playing SoR2 and FFCD on their CD systems.

To further add to the previous post, Technos' most relevant contributions to the genre were made pretty early on.
Renegade established the basic of the belt-scrolling formula with the addition of depth movement, move variety and health points for mooks at a time beat-'em-ups were strictly single-plane affair with simple move sets for the player. And then you have Double Dragon, with the addition of longer levels, usable weapons and 2P co-op.
But then they lost the beat-'em-up crown to Capcom and never quite recovered. Double Dragon 3 kinda sucked (although that was outsourced), Combatribes is a bit of an acquired taste and I don't think many people care about Shadow Force. I like their console output a bit, but I don't think many beat-'em-up enthusiasts care about straight-to-console entries in the genre.

The best trick to the game is to let enemies approach from downwards and upwards rather than approach them forward. Then you spam your Cyclone Spin Kick. Repeat until they're dead.
