Is it true that Inafune doesn't even like the original mega Man series, and much prefers the later ones?

I've heard that, too. Dunno if it's true though.
This is news to me, though if I recall correctly, he had more of a creative role in some later games beyond character design and art, need to see if this is true.

I am sure he played a bigger role with development during the later megaman games (since X4 and 8 IIRC) but I have never read it anywhere that he really prefers those games over the older ones.
