Is it true that Inafune doesn't even like the original mega Man series, and much prefers the later ones?

I've heard that, too. Dunno if it's true though.
This is news to me, though if I recall correctly, he had more of a creative role in some later games beyond character design and art, need to see if this is true.
>Inb4 ebin CON MAN maymay
Read something about him enjoying the X series more because of zero.

OMG you mean Mega Man's own Keiji Inafune creator of Mega Man and the Mega Man series
>>3208356
I am sure he played a bigger role with development during the later megaman games (since X4 and 8 IIRC) but I have never read it anywhere that he really prefers those games over the older ones.

> "My mentor (Capcom senior member Akira Kitamura), who was the designer of the original Mega Man, had a basic concept of what Mega Man was supposed to look like. So I only did half of the job in creating him. I didn't get to completely design a Mega Man [protagonist] from scratch until Zero (Mega Man X, SNES). Back when the SNES was coming out, I was asked to give Mega Man a redesign, so I created this character. But I realized that this design wouldn't be accepted as Mega Man, so I had another designer create the new Mega Man, and I worked on Zero to release him as the 'other main character' that would steal all the good scenes!"[9]

From which article is that?

Looks like it's the Wikipedia article for Mega Man.

Who even cares about this hack fraud by this point?
he's yet to deliver a single game

>Keiji Inafune
>creator of Mega Man and the Mega Man series
Akira Kitamura
>>3209556
Pretty sure he was baiting
>>3209556
Hilarious that just 3 years ago NO ONE knew the name "Akira Kitamura". The guy keeps to the shadows since he left gaming.
>>3208356
Who's the bigger washed-up hack: Inafking or Igarashi?
>>3208356
Doubt it, since he was the only one pushing Mega Man at all for a long time.
>>3209556
you really need to recognize incredulity.

Iga's notCastlevania seems to be shaping up nicely at the very least. Would prefer a Classicvania though.
