Not at all. It's generally really easy and made for kids but its possible to die in the games if you're not paying attention.
Especially the ones since Super Star Ultra since they all include tougher post-game challenges now. Pretty sure every main installment since has at least had the true arena and featured a Final Boss rematch.

yes, but that's not as effective as the standard inhaleing mechanic, plus the level design while sometimes being more open, is more forgiving with kirby being able to fly over pits and many stages having enemies in spots where you can inhale them to get a power that will make the next part really trivial.

yes but that's why the air bullet exists, it's only purpose is as a way to protect yourself while flying. It doesn't even hurt bosses so it's clearly not supposed to be used as a main line of defense, I'm sure if they wanted to when they made Kirby they could have just given him wings so he could inhale mid air.
