Yeah but the MK Movie is not just campy good but legit good. About the only complaint I have is that some characters could have been fleshed out more. But that would have ruined the pacing of the fights - movie is supposed to be about a fighting tournament.
Oh and the fight scenes could've used less camera cutting to make them look more professional. Keep extensive cutting to the special effects only, like they did (Scorpions finisher looks so good, genuinely shocking and menacing).
But for a video game movie? MK is light years ahead of every other one made.

The execution was great, but the core narrative was pretty weak. I think it averages out to just an average-quality movie.
I'll also say that the Super Mario Bros movie is pretty bad, but I find that I can enjoy it for its goofiness, plus Dennis Hopper and Bob Hoskins(bless their souls).
