I don't actually like his Sonic CD tracks.
Spencer Nilsen is the best!
I love his Ecco work, but he failed to properly convey the feeling required behind certain tracks.
For example in Ecco 1 at the end Ecco and his pod escape, and this cheerful music plays as all of them escape from the Alien hive back to Earth.
But in Ecco 1 CD its just a.. tranquil like composition.
there's not feeling of joy behind it.
Seems like he didn't really understand the need for some themes to draw you into the game, I guess for him music was just whatever HE wanted to do.
Kinda like most movie directors.
Japanese Sonic CD soundtrack is better than the American version.
Mega Drive Ecco soundtrack is better than the CD version.
