I just got this game & it crashes after the first cut scene. Anyone know how to fix it?

I'm from Florida
Run it on a virtual machine, it's probably one of those games that hates newer versions of DirectX or whatever.

If you can't get it to run there's a version released on Steam made for modern computers. I could never get it to work on anything past Windows XP but I'm also retarded.

just get the gog version.
Disable any thing like Raptr or Experience Geforce and see what happens.
They tend to cause issues for older games, System Shock: Enhanced Edition won't launch is Raptr is active.

Yeah, man. Uninstall and pirate pic related, thank me later.
It's abandonware right now, much like all the other monolith games pre 2005

Well you can actually buy blood, though source code is being hogged by some cunt at warner (or atari), and AVP2 isn't officially abandonware, but you can't purchase it from any digital store, so it may as well be
Paying for out of print physical copies benefits no one

I have the boxed version and still got the Steam game cause it was like $1 at the time.
There's a patch that makes it work on Win Vista+ computers
Pretty sure the AvP 2000 version that is on Steam and GoG is vastly different. Despite the updated videos (which is better is up for another argument) there are changes to sounds, violence and maybe some textures as well.
Hate to spoonfeed tech support but you may need the source port update OP
