Yeah, basically. The audio was compressed quite a bit to make it all fit on one disk, but in my experience, 99% of gamers don't give a shit about audio quality. If you're playing it on an LCD, those have shit audio output anyway, so you likely won't even notice.
But even taking that into account, the improvements are worth it.

The Dreamcast version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is the best home version you can get, since the HD version were delisted from PSN and XBLA three years ago. Certainly better than the PS2 and especially the Xbox versions.
