Generations are just social constructs that are used to categorize consoles into distinct groups. Using them as a metric makes little sense. The Dreamcast may have been "6th gen" but I came out in 98, two years before the PS2. If anything the Dreamcast is 5.5 gen. The design philosophy of the console is more like 5th gen than 6th gen. It has more in common with N64 and PS1 than it does with PS2, GameCube and Xbox.

I made it myself. I had gotten the GBA for christmas when I was like 8 or 9, did the mod around around the beginning of this year. People say the glass lense is more resistant to scratches, and it might be but it's also pretty brittle and it cracked on the bottom when my girlfriend sat on my backpack with it inside, as you can see in the pic. I kinda can't replace it now because I superglued it in there. Honestly the difference being as slight as it is, I don't really think it's worth it unless you really REALLY want it, but just make sure you don't do it sloppily like I did
