I feel like with older games they were marketed more for the "Challenge" than the fun factor. Older games in arcades or on older consoles never felt like they wanted you to win or you were even supposed to win. The game over screens made you feel like shit and the concepts never felt like they were supposed to be inviting. This is in contrast with newer games where it's basically wish fulfillment and they're made in a way to where anyone can beat them. The 90s were the awkward midway between the two where they wanted to seem edgy and challenging but also zany and fun. That's probably why it was my favorite decade for video games.
Also I just realized I kept my name on here from a thread over at /co. Hopefully that doesn't piss people off over here.

Also, you aren't informed if any of your answers are wrong, so it's possible for every entrant to have a wrong answer and there to be no winner. Plus the prizes were donated/discounted so any money going into the company was easy to turn to profit in the unlikely event of a winner.
My research into it indicated that there have only been two winners, but it's all rumours and hearsay, so don't take my word for anything.

SF2CE on Genesis had all the same content as SF2 Turbo and some extra stuff. That's why their version was the "Special Champion Edition" (they couldn't call it Turbo due to a licensing exclusivity over the title). Both versions allow you play with either, Champion Edition or Hyper Fighting rules (extra moves and faster speed), so they were technically ports of both games.

Duh! I know about that, but then NOA would distribute pamphlets like this to retailers telling everyone to use "Nintendo" as an adjective rather than as a a noun. If they don't want to confuse their products with the company, they shouldn't call their console "Nintendo this" or "Super Nintendo that" in the first place and choose to emphasize the "NES" and "Super NES" in their brandings.
